So I’ve been lazy… i’m on holidays but anyhow chloe wrote this to keep her family up to date so i stole it… its very lightly edited, sorry if some parts are funny (its three emails into one.. love you all enjoy xx

Chloe:

Hey everyone,

I’ll start where I left off, at the airport. Demi and Lee arrived at about 1pm and found us fairly easily. Greg was having his lunch, so we sat and talked and then checked in. After checking in (here when you go through security you have to take off your shoes and belt and i have to take my laptop out of my bag and put it through separately) we sat in the bar until it was time to board our plane and even though greg and i spent the whole day at the airport, it didn’t feel like it went that slow. We managed to get upgraded to emergency exit seats (thanks to greg as always) and flew from fort Lauderdale to dallas. At dallas airport we had mcdonalds and then looked around for cowboy boots, because greg wanted cowboy boots from texas. The only shop there that had them was closed so he may have to look while we are in las vegas. Because we were so tired we slept most of the flight from dallas to las vegas and when we arrived it felt late, but it was only 10pm las vegas time. We took our transfer to our hotel and the bus driver was nice, she told us about the strip and gave some advice (such as not to get arrested). Our hotel suite is cool, we have a washing machine which i (and i think greg) were pretty excited about because it will be nice to wash our clothes, we have been washing some stuff in the shower but its not the same. After dropping off our luggage we went for a walk to the nearby CVS pharmacy to get some food and some antihistamines for me, i don’t know what it is exactly but i seem to be allergic to America, i cant stop sneezing and have a runny nose. At the bottom of our hotel is whats called the ‘miracle mile’ shopping mall, its a big circle mall and has lots of clothes shops, i cant wait to go shopping there (we will probably go later today). As we were walking along las vegas boulevard to get to CVS there were all these people with business cards for ‘dating’ services, they are known as flippers and ‘slap’ the card in their hands and put them in front of you to take, but if you don’t take it they don’t try and make you, its just amazing that they are everywhere and the sidewalk is littered with cards with these girls on them. At CVS we bought cereal (there was one ‘cereal’ that was just mini choc chip cookies!) and chips and alcohol, all the necessities! We walked back to our hotel room and went to bed, by then it was 1am and we had to be up in about 4hours for our grand canyon tour. We were waiting at our bus stop at 6:30 and another family showed up for the same tour, the bus didn’t arrive so after half an hour i tried calling them, but the payphone wouldn’t work, so i ended up using lees phone and they said someone had called in sick but they would be there to pick us up soon. The bus drive to the grand canyon took about 3 hours, we stopped at Hoover dam along the way to take photos and have a look and a stretch. In between the bus driver telling us about the scenery, grand canyon etc we napped. At the grand canyon it was cold but sunny, there were white patches on the ground which i thought were sand at first and they turned out to be ice! We jumped on the first shuttle to the skywalk and got in line for it, we didn’t have to wait long. On the skywalk you cant take anything and they make you wear bootie things (like shower caps) over your shoes. They take some photos of you out there that are pretty average and overpriced, we did buy one though which looks like demi and i pushing lee and greg over the edge. It was amazing to see so far below, they told us its 4000 feet. Some girls in our group were nervous about walking on the skywalk and our guide told them not to worry, if you fall you have ten seconds before you get to the bottom! Then we bussed to the next place and had lunch, it was fairly decent (shredded beef, beans, corn, mashed potato) and took more photos. I had a lot of heart attacks because greg and lee were getting too close to the edge for my liking. We got the bus back to the start, looked in the gift shop and then it was time to get on the bus back. Once we were back we had drinks and got changed and went out for dinner. We ended up going to a pub kind of place in miracle mile which had two for one cocktails so we had strawberry daiquiris and they gave us the second ones to take away. Then we went to planet hollywood casino, they don’t ask you for id when you walk in because underagers can walk through, so every time we stopped at a table we all were asked for id. I won some money in blackjack and then lost it at casino wars, greg won then lost then broke even after playing craps, lee did the best he went from $5 to $400 by the end of the night. While we were in the casino a guy came up to us and asked if we wanted vip entry, no cover charge, into gallery nightclub which was upstairs. We thought why not so we went in, it was pretty empty and expensive. It also said on the wall ‘pussycat dolls burlesque saloon’, there was a stage, but by the time greg finished his beer nothing happened (we thought there might be something happening because more people started showing up), so greg, demi and i came back to the room and went to bed, lee stayed and went to the casino for a bit. I slept all the way through from about 11:30 until 9:30! We got ready and took the bus to las vegas premium outlets which is to the north. I went the craziest i ever have shopping! But because everything is cheaper here, i only spent about $500 which is good. I bought too many things to describe, but so far this trip i have bought 5 pairs of shoes! Definitely using the other suitcase greg brought, he bought himself a tommy Hilfiger carry on suitcase as well. He bought a suit and a leather jacket as well, and while we were shopping the suit was altered so he could wear it. After shopping we took the bus back to the hotel, the bus passed through old las vegas which i found interesting because i didn’t know there used to be a different strip. Then we got changed and went out for dinner to hooters. We can see it from our hotel so figured it wasn’t that far, i was wearing shoes i bought yesterday and they hurt so much we had to stop at Walgreens so i could buy some ‘rollasoles’ which are those ballet flats that roll up and you take them out with you. Then we got to hooters just in time to order, they were closing in 5 minutes (it was almost 11). I put $1 in the pokies (or slots as they call them here) and won 20, so i was happy. The food at hooters was yummy, i had quesadillas, they were good but i could only eat half but i could take the rest with me. (i just remembered, when we got off the plane in vegas there were pokies right there in the middle of the airport!) we came back to the hotel, taxi this time, then demi went to bed and lee greg and i went to the Bellagio casino. I came out even and greg lost a little bit, lee put $5 in the pokies the other day and through roulette has turned it into $1000!

We got up late and took awhile to get ready and just had a lazy morning/arvo. We went and organised our tickets for the shows and looked at the shops in miracle mile, had late lunch/early dinner at panda express which was just typical asian food. That night we went and saw peepshow starring holly madison, it was good and interesting because i didn’t really know what to expect, i had heard about it but not much about what happens. After that we went to the casino for a little bit, lee kept winning more money! Then we ate at a place that was open late at miracle mile, just fast food kind of stuff, although over here they don’t seem to be in any kind of hurry to get fast food out quickly, it definitely takes longer than at home.

The next day we slept in again, not quite so late but we still didn’t get out until midday. We took the bus to gold and silver pawn shop, where they film the tv show ‘pawn stars’. I didn’t expect much so i thought it was just another shop, greg thought it would have looked nicer considering its on a tv show now. There was a line up to get in and the shop was full of people, but it didn’t take long to get in and we didn’t stay long, no one bought anything. After that we took the bus to the stratosphere, which is a really tall building with rides on the top. Lee and demi aren’t ‘rides’ kind of people, so we sat at the bottom while greg jumped off the top! He got a dvd of it, so you’ll be able to see when we get home, but its a 250metre jump. While we waited for the dvd to get burnt we had lunch at roxys diner downstairs. On their menu they had a burger that was 4 pounds (i think all up, i cant remember how much the meat weighed) and greg and lee decided to take on the challenge. When they were ordering the guy said ‘ok so 2 for the table?’ and greg and lee said ‘no thats what were having, they’re ordering separate meals!’ these burgers were ridiculously huge. When they were made music started playing (i don’t know what its called but it was very dramatic) and the guy bringing them out (one at a time) had a microphone and announced to the diner about it being the biggest burger, 5000 calories, and people came over and took photos of the burgers and wished greg and lee good luck. I was sitting opposite greg, and from where i was it didn’t look like he had touched his burger when he was done, he got almost halfway, theres photos. They could have split a burger and still struggled. Greg and i bought novelty stratosphere cups with cocktails in them and got refills before we left, we also had cocktails in another novelty glass the night before, so we have more for the collection, they are everywhere in vegas and they refill them for pretty good prices. After the stratosphere we took the bus to mgm grand and swapped our voucher for tickets for david copperfield that night. We went back to the hotel, started packing and then went back to the mgm grand for the show. We had really good seats, im not sure if it was all that was available because people bought all the cheaper seats at the back, but we were second row, its all tables and chairs which is nice. The show was really good and guess what? I got to go up on stage and help out with a trick!!! It was great, but i was so nervous and shaking. I had to put on rubber glove and so did another girl (we have a feeling she wasn’t ‘random’ from the audience but worked for him) and we held a box with a scorpion inside. Then he got the other girl to hold the box and tried to get me to pick up the scorpion, he got my hand pretty close but then said ‘nah just kidding’ thank goodness! There was a deck of cards he got me to shuffle, i was so nervous that i couldn’t shuffle them properly and dropped one on the floor. I checked they were a normal deck, he got me to pick a card while his eyes were shut and i held it up to the camera, then put it back in the deck and shuffled it again. He fanned the cards in a circle and held them together with a big clip, picked up the scorpion and the scorpion picked my card out of the deck! Then before i left the stage he got me to kiss him on the cheek. It was pretty cool to go on stage, greg really wanted to but he was so excited when i got chosen. The rest of the show was great, there were alot of tricks that i think i could guess how he did it, but there was one where he made a car appear on stage that we could not work out at all, it was amazing! After seeing david copperfield we went to the mirage to see the volcano because we thought we would make it to the last show at midnight, but it turned out the last show was at 11 L so we went to caesars palace on the way back, i won on roulette. When we were walking on the strip greg and lee had collected quite a lot of the cards the flippers hand out, so greg tried to be a flipper and give them back out, it only worked once but it was pretty funny. Then we went back to the hotel, finished packing and went to bed. We had to get up at about 7, which is early compared to when we have been getting up. Fitting everything into our suitcases was a struggle, i had to take some stuff out my suitcase and squish it in my carry on so i wouldn’t get charged for excess baggage. Its been one of the more annoying parts of the holiday, that we have to unpack and repack. Not for much longer though. They just announced our flight has been delayed by half an hour. We don’t have any plans for san Francisco apart from going to Alcatraz one night, so it will be good to take it easy, apparently theres a lot of nice places to eat there.

Greg wasn’t feeling so good this morning because he had a few drinks last night, so we had to stop at the restrooms once or twice. Our flight was delayed by half an hour because san Francisco had bad weather and could only use one runway instead of two, so we wouldn’t be able to land. Once we were on the plane, there was another half hour delay and we sat on the tarmac, greg and i slept because we only had about 5 hours sleep last night, we both slept most of the flight. Im getting better at sleeping on planes and buses but it hurts my neck. We arrived in san Francisco and got our transfer to the hotel. It is the best hotel we have stayed at so far, nice modern clean room (our las vegas suite wasn’t as clean as it should be, the stove looked dirty and we found an empty bottle behind a table). We are right in the heart of the shops and union square which is good because we don’t have to walk far for anything. We went and got some lunch at the nearby westfield. There are more homeless people here than we’ve seen anywhere else so far and most have signs asking for money. We’ve seen some strange people, a guy in a long coat with a huge stick walked past, greg said he must have been a wizard, and we saw a guy power walking with poles, kind of like ski poles. We had starbucks which is across the road from our hotel and now ive tried all their holiday coffee flavours (peppermint mocha, pumpkin spice latte and crème brulee latte, pumpkin spice latte was my favourite). The weather has been cold in las vegas and now san Francisco, i would guess low teens (13ish degrees) its hard to know exactly cos they say it in Fahrenheit. Im glad i bought a coat the first day in la, ive worn it a lot in vegas and prob will wear it alot here. Gregs leather jacket is keeping him warm. We watched some tv and relaxed then went out for dinner. We went to dennys, which is a chain here in America so we thought we better try it. We both couldn’t eat most of our meals, but didn’t take it with us cos we weren’t sure if we had a fridge (i found it now). They give free refills of soft drinks here which is cool. I had a strawberry lemonade which is fairly common over here, its fresh strawberries in lemonade, but their lemonade is more like homemade lemonade, more lemon and not so fizzy. It is delicious. Another thing that is delicious, for an entree or side over here you can get chips (or at hooters its potato gems) with melted cheese and crumbled bacon on top. Yum!

we slept in and then went shopping, i bought a handbag and some more clothes. we had dinner at a restaurant at westfield, it was singapore food, i had pad thai and greg had curried lamb shanks, it was nice. then we saw the new sherlock holmes movie, it was great but didnt start until 10:30, so i was so tired by the time it finished. the next day we got up and went to a nearby diner for brekky, then caught the cable car to fishermans wharf. we had to walk along to the pier where our tour left from, the whole wharf smelt like the fish factory. we got on the ferry for our alcatraz tour, it didnt take long to get over to the island. we followed a guide who told us about the escapes while alcatraz was a prison which was really interesting. then we did a tour of the cell block, you have headphones and can hear about the different areas from people who used to work there and prisoners. we got to see the cells where some of them escaped from. outside you could see san francisco, its only one and a quarter miles away, so apparently it was hard for the prisoners to see, sometimes hear what they were so close to and missing out on. we caught the last ferry back and then had dinner at johnny rockets. we took a taxi back to our hotel, the taxi driver was cool. greg said san fran has a few strange people around and the taxi driver said not enough. he reckons its too expensive for the arty/creative people to live there anymore. then we walked down to the shops and i bought another suitcase to fit everything in. today we did an open top bus tour so we could see a lot of san francisco, then we leave for la tomorrow. greg reckons san fran is like melbourne, i dont like it much because the sidewalk is so crowded and the people seem grumpy, theres always horns honking. apparently its the busiest time of the year here, the weekend before xmas because of all the stores.

Vegas Baby... Soon

Hello Friend,

After the last instalment, myself and Chloe fell back asleep until midday, then we entered the blackjack tournament, but we both lost. We had lunch at the buffet. Then we spent the afternoon by the pool, and in the pool. We also had cocktails. Over this trip we have collected souvenir cups/glassware that include hard rock pint glass, hard rock hurricane glass, royal Caribbean hurricane glass X2, NASA Drink bottle, bottle shaped like  cruise ship, HP stein, royal Caribbean thermos X2 we might need to ship them home.

After the pool we played bingo again, l almost got a win. Then we had a look at the shops on the ship, they are only allowed to be open when we are in international waters. Had strawberry daiquiris which I think are amazing everyone should have at least one daily (I have been, but its more around 4-5 daily) had one at the rising tide bar, which moves up and down between about 3 decks. Chloe bought a watch, a pair of sunglasses they make her look famous haha. We chatted with the girl who worked in the coach store where Chloe bought her glasses, she told us that she works for 6 months straight, then has about 2 or 3 months off, but when we are in port she doesn’t work because the store can’t be open, so she might only work a few hours that night. She was from Romania, the crew on board come from all over the world.

The next morning we were up at 8, had buffet brekky then off to st Thomas. We took a taxi downtown (they take about 14 people at a time in a van at $4 each) which is where all the shopping is. I bought myself some Clinique face stuff so I can look prettyful, plus it was cheap! looked for Clinique stuff for mum but the selection was huge and looked the same to me so i didn’t know which one to get (sorry mum, it was only like 20-30 bucks - unlucky). It was really hot in St Thomas, so we asked where a good beach was. We ended up getting a taxi back to the ship, dropping our shopping off in our room and heading back out, we took a taxi to emerald beach nearby. It was awesome, we swam in the Caribbean sea! I recommend it for everyone… and menzy there was heaps of oldies in bikini you would be in your prime. (I know you like them leathery) Then we jumped back on the ship.

Wednesday we got up, had brekky (buffet of course), then went in to St Maarten. From the cruise ship terminal you can get a water taxi (boat carrying way to many people) to Philipsburg, the main place in the dutch half of st maarten. The water taxi was $6 for all day rides, so we went over and did some shopping it was crazy I found jeans that are too long! J I bought three pairs of the jeans (they were half price compared to home. $55 levis anyone?). They were selling beer on the street for $1.50 a bottle! We went back to the ship, dropped off our shopping, then came back over and hired a jetski! I being awesome an stuff drove it and the fiancé (see what I did there) was on the back, it was fast and a lot of fun. After thrashing around for a bit we went for a swim, had a bit more of a look around. It was really hot again. I got sunburnt, Chloe got tanned. At dinner you are placed with the same waiters, I like the waiter from the bar he calls me ‘mr gregory’ and greets with ‘madame and mr gregory’, when he brings me drinks (he knows my order “strawberry daiquiri Mr. Gregory?”) he gets tipped well.

Next two days we were at sea on our way back to florida, as always started the day at the buffet, then went and watched the belly flop competition! It was pretty funny, four guys took turns to belly flop, we all voted, it was entertaining. After that we went in the pool for a bit, got changed we tried the rock climbing wall which was harder than I remember(I’m a little heavier) , then off to dinner. After dinner we went to a game show kind of thing at one of the bars, it was meh, then we went to a thing called the quest, the stands were divided into teams, and we had team captains and had to complete different ‘quests’ for example ‘find someone wearing red underwear’ the girl were ripping up their dresses/skirts and racing to the host with their team number and showing them, it was amazing to say the least (other good ones were “hidden tattoos” and “piercings not in the ear” same thing pretty much happened). Then bed.

Day two at sea (yesterday) we slept in, buffet brekky, walked around the ship with my camera, did the zip line, played minigolf (WINNAAARRRR!!!!). Later in the arvo we saw the holiday fountain show, which was in the aquatheater, they just have lights and fountains, two of the jets go really high, past the 10metre diving board. The fountain show made me smile lots, I have no idea why just really liked it. Before dinner we packed, everything managed to fit into our suitcases, but they are definitely heavier than when we left Adelaide. At dinner last night we gave out our gratuity vouchers and said thanks to our waiters celeste and roy, they looked after our table for 5 out of the 7 nights and were really nice and gave great service. After dinner we learnt how to play craps at the casino (it was easier than it seems, just when you lose, you lose, and now we know for vegas!) then we went to an improv comedy show, it was good, then it was bedtime. The cruise ship was great, probably should have stayed up later and seen more shows but I really didn’t feel the need, plus catching up on sleep was more amazing than the shows we did see.

We had to get up early today (5am) to get ready, have brekky (aka the last buffet supper), then we departed the ship at 6:15am because we chose express departure, where we carry our own suitcases off and get off the boat first, it saved us checking in our luggage, then waiting to get off the ship, then having to pick it up. The travel agent initially had our flight for 3ish, but convinced us to change it to a bit later at 4:30 just in case we didnt get off the boat until late, or got stalled at customs… customs went a little like this “how much more time will you spend in the states?”

“two weeks”

“Okay enjoy the rest of you holiday”

So now we have a long wait. Should have bought heaps of duty free alcohol they didn’t even look in or xray our bags??? Anyhow we are off to las vegas tonight, we will get there at 9pm and probably won’t do much tonight, we are off for the day tomorrow to the grand canyon, which is a pretty long tour.

Until next time weary soldier

Lovelovelovelovelove xx

I'm on a BOAT! annnndddddd

Hey! I’m not dead…

Friday i was tired so I just wanted to sleep instead of writing about going to Kennedy space centre aka NASA. More on that in one second cause I know you’re dying to hear about it. Saturday we started our cruise, I don’t know who’s cheaper Chloe and I or the cruise ship you have to pay for WIFI… on the count of three, one, two, three BOOOOOOOO!

So I’m being cheeky and writing this on word and then I’m going to post it so I’ll only pay for like 5mins HA!

Back to Friday and NASA. It was awesome when I grow up I might become an astronaut. The wasn’t heaps to do but the stuff we did was like WOW, we jumped on the bus tour which took close the big shed and to the launch bays there was a heap of info everywhere about how it all comes together, we also saw the huge crawlers that were used to take the shuttles into space but they ended shuttle launches, however they just built a new launch cradle scaffold-y thing, the bus driver said he was told the wasn’t allowed to speculate about it, but he did say it they use to have ones that looked the same when they were doing moon launches hmmm. That have a launch simulator that was ok EPCOT ride was heaps better I’m not sure if I wrote about it but it was a similar thing done heaps better. Looked thru the shops they had sweet jumpsuits and one of the actual astronauts that were there was wear a similar thing… I didn’t buy it L  I got a nice jumper tho… science nerds if you have the opportunity go

Saturday (its Sunday night as I write this) we had to be up at 4:00 to catch a ride on the bus to fort Lauderdale to start our cruise yay, the bus driver was a dick! First one so not doing bad really. Back to the fun stuff the ship is AMAZING! We had Pina Colada within about 2mins of stepping onboard, oh an check in was painless as pretty muched walked straight on. Hung out in the spa in the afternoon and went to the casino got up 100 bucks (I may have lost most of the 100 in the cas at Nassau still up tho, on Sunday today) had dinner just after, 3 courses (every night) delicious.

Today we ordered room service for brekkie, bacon, eggs (they’re real), sausage, tomato and toast yum. We had a shore day so decided to go exploring in the Bahamas… Jelly? As we exited the docks it was another world which closely translates to… it was legit the hood… real dodgy, so we walked (quickly) to where the map said the beach and resort was, it was just over a mile (I’m showing off my mad imperial skills) away and over a huge bridge and it was another world again, i don’t think i could afford a single item over there it was Gucci, Bvlgari, Rolex everything. Being too rich for the hood and too poor for the craziness of the other side of the bridge we headed back to the boat.. I did buy some boardies from one of the more normal stores. Back on the boat we hit the spa again then played some bingo and then the casino again to make back some money from my poor effort at the Nassau casino.

Congratulations you are now up to date. I’ll write again when I’m in vegas because I probably won’t have much to say except that I’m in the Caribbean walking on white sands with cocktail in hand. Just kidding, but not really.

P.S I didn’t end up sending this Sunday night, so its Monday morning now things that happened last night:

·         Chloe felt seasick so we went down to the med clinic. They have a big bowl of tablets you can help yourself too.

·         Had dinner in the same place different menu tho

·         I went and played some Caribbean Stud, I failed HARD.

·         Breakfast buffet at a different Restaurant… Amazing selection.

Love you all xx

T-T-Two for One...

Disney World! That’s where the magic happened the last two days… You get two for one because i was going to write yesterdays after I watched survivor which started at 8:00pm, I didn’t even get to see the start before I was snoring, oh well.

Waking up at around seven both days (not through choice, turns out I’m a morning person in the northern hemisphere) for the 10:00 bus to EPCOT.

Day One:

EPCOT which is an Anagram for something but that’s some homework for you (aka we don’t know.) Once we arrived we jumped straight in line for ‘Spaceship Earth’ it was a good, slow moving train in the big 18 story sphere, the icon of the EPCOT Park. While on it they take a photo of you and later on the ride they show you a movie with your faces as the characters heads, made me giggle a bit.

Then we when into ‘Innovention’ where you get to design your own rollercoaster or jet race. Basically they give you track pieces to choose from and it’s on a touch screen with this cool ruler and dial thing that lets you pick the height and speed of the twists and turns. We both think this was the best attraction. It’s not on the map and not a main one. Lucky to stumble across it, also for its awesomeness there wasn’t a line up.

After that we hopped in line for ‘Test Track’ it was set in the testing facilities of GM normal line was long so we jumped in the single riders line and both got on the same set, different carts though. It was good, went fast too.

There are also all different countries in EPCOT as well, pretty much for food more than anything. Though throughout the day it was fun to hear people say things like ‘Ok I’ll be in China’ or ‘what’s the quickest way to Mexico’, not sure if those guys had committed a crime… Ba doom chi!

We had lunch in Italy, it was really good all the staff were from Italy, service was awesome but it was a little pricey.

Strolled through the park and went on a few more rides, we jumped on the first bus home at 6:00pm because we had done everything we wanted to and we were both shattered. Ordered pizza and then sleepy time for me.

Day Two:

Once we arrived at EPCOT we jumped on the monorail and then a ferry to ‘The Magical Kingdom’ the park most like the original… I think, it’s been a while (I was four). First thing was everyones favourite ‘It’s a small world after all’ really just as weird as the Simpsons one, a peter pan ride was next it was ok,  more aimed for the kiddies than my big brave self, speaking of which it was off to face my fears*, the tea cup ride. This of course was after a quick snack (meatball sub). I got the tea cup spinning at a high-speed, the faster you spin it the faster it turns. All of these were in Fantasyland.

Next we wandered off to Frontierland and onto the rollercoaster ‘Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’ the line for this was insane we waited about half an hour, easily the longest line in the whole three parks we have be too. We then went to go on ‘Splash Mountain’ but it broke down, boo!

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ was up next it was good. I’ve noticed most the newer things are well made. After that was ‘Swiss Family Treehouse’ no idea what it was from but it was cool. We didn’t spend too much time in Adventureland because we were keen for Tomorrowland.

At Tomorrowland we went on ‘Stitches Great Escape’ again this one was aimed at a younger audience. And then dum dum dum da! ‘SPACE MOUNTIAN!’ we on it three times… it’s an ultra dark rollercoaster and you don’t know when it will turn or dive it was really really awesome! It cracked my back the first time, while we went down the biggest dip on it.

Had dinner back in Frontierland, burger again for me my fifth in five days keeping my BPD (burgers per day) at a solid 1.00. Back on the ferry and monorail… and bus back to the hotel room.

Keep it real homies, love you all xx

*the first time I went to Disneyland myself, dad and Doug were in the teacup ride, being young and light my dad was able to make it spin faster than the gravitron and the fear of it is one of my first memories!

P.S I don’t think I wrote anything this long by myself in my entire time at school

Day 3 – Prior Engagements 29/11/11

I bought a 12 pack of dr pepper for $5, which at home is $25!

Yesterday we got up early to get the 7:30 shuttle to universal studios. The islands of adventure, where harry potter world is, was amazing, there is so much detail to everything. On our way in we saw a few squirrels running around! We went straight to harry potter world, and had a look around, then got some breakfast at the three broomsticks, this is where the magical proposal happened.

After that we kept looking around the park. At the start of the day it didn’t seem that there were that many people there, but once we finished brekkie there seemed to be a lot more however, we only waited about 5 minutes to get on rides, the only thing we waited awhile for was ollivanders, where someone has a wand chosen for them like in the first harry potter, we waited about half an hour for it and it probably wasn’t worth it, but oh well.

They have a few simulator rides, which are really good, the Simpsons one felt very close to being on a real roller coaster. Harry Potter one was awesome too. We went on all the roller coasters. I had some lunch at a diner, another burger, Chloe didn’t feel hungry.

At the end of the day we went back to make our purchases at harry potter world, a couple of wands, necklaces, Chloe bought a jumper and a chocolate frog from the movie, I bought a Gryffindor scarf and tie and a stein with a lid. it was only 6pm by then, the park was closing, but our shuttle didn’t leave until 7:30, so we had dinner at hard rock cafe. I had a delicious steak while Chloe had salmon, we also had a drink each in a hard rock cafe glass which we then got to keep (they gave us new ones on the way out). Completely shattered from a huge day I fell asleep on the bus! We went to our room and slept.

Today we are catching the shuttle going to Epcot, which is one of the worlds of Disneyworld.

Day Two - More Flying 28/11/11

Smashed out a huge walk yesterday, down Rodeo Drive and then too Beverley Centre or Center cause they’re American and all. The distance between two is twice as far when you’re almost there and turn back for directions XD

Not much too do at Rodeo Drive except look at stuff I can’t afford, although heaps of nice cars to look at, really nice cars, Lamborghini Diablo and Murcielago, RR Phantom, 50’s Porsche speedster, R8 V10, Merc AMG’s and BMW M’s Galore plus a swag of Camaro’s – I was a little excited.

On the way to the Beverley Centre/Center we walked passed a Pharmacy called CVS they are a big chain in the states, they stock ciggies and booze, cheap booze 1.75 Lt of Bacardi $17.99 <- not a typeo. Purchased me some Old Spice Swagger there.

At the Centre I bought a Ted Baker Shirt from Bloomingdales and a vest and knit from H&M Man

Had Lunch at Cali Pizza Kitchen it was Yum and Dinner at a small burger place called Elat Burger YUM also.

Today we were up at 4:00am to Catch a flight too Orlando, We got here safe… Surprise. Flight was most of the day. Went for a walk tonight and found the Nike Factory Store liked some BBall Shoes so I bought them and a BBall Sleeve for the lolz.

Bye for now, Universal Studio/Harry Potter Land tomorrow J J

If the Spelling, Grammar And Punctuation aren’t great today its cause Chloe is sleeping thus unable to proof read.

Love you all xx

We're Here

Let me start by saying ‘Airbus A380’ are huge… on the outside at least, I mean like 450 passengers huge. The leg room was comfortable for Chloe, needless to say I struggled I’m pretty sure I would even struggle in business. The first 3 hours were fine but those last long 11 knee crushing hours were fair meh’. Def going to try for exit rows for the home flight! Enough bitching about my long legs you tell me… ok

Qantas looks after you well in the food dept, for dinner I had Braised Beef n something, It was Stew but delicious stew this made me happy I was expecting cardboard flavour.

I then watched ‘Horrible Bosses’ had a sleep watched ‘Captain America’, sleep, cheese sandwich, sleep. Breakfast was awesome, I had sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown, beans YUM!

Just got in to the hotel then nice room, big bed, quality view of downtown… I think. Only took about 40mins to get too.

I’ll put some photos up a little later as I need to go buy a cable to plug my camera into the lappy… It’s like the only thing I forgot… so far… that I know of!

Going shopping now need food in me. Hopefully find somewhere to get a cord n window shop rodeo drive

Until next time, love you all xx
